Jaipur is one of the most beautiful and important cities in India. It is the capital of Rajasthan and popularly known as the Pink City. This beautiful palace complex was built by Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber. The architecture of the palace complex is a mind-boggling fusion of Rajput, Mughal and European styles. The palace complex houses a museum (called City Palace Museum) and many beautiful palaces and attractions such as Mubarak Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Pitam Niwas Chowk, Diwan-I-Khas, Diwan-I-Aam, Maharani Palace, Bhaggi Khana, Govind Dev Ji Temple, etc.

Hawa Mahal (The Palace of Winds): It is one of the most important tourist attractions and major landmarks in Jaipur City. This beautiful palace was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the year of 1799. It is a five-storey building in the form of the crown of Lord Krishna, the Hindu God. It was designed by famous architect Lal Chand Usta. This building has 953 small windows and exteriors looks like a honeycomb. Windows are decorated with elaborate lattice work. This unique and beautiful building was originally built for the royal ladies to see daily life and processions in the street below without being seen. The entire building is constructed in red-sandstone. The beauty of Hawa Mahal enhanced in the early morning when the golden rays of sunrise fall on it. Indeed, it is one of the must visit attractions of Jaipur visit.

Jantar Mantar: It is the largest observatory among those built by the Jai Singh II in various parts of India. It is a collection of architectural astronomical instruments. It various instruments and devices were used for observing the movements of heavenly bodies, measuring time, predicting eclipses, tracking stars’ location, etc. It is very famous among tourists visiting the Pink City of Jaipur.

Amber Fort: It is situated in the outskirts of Jaipur City (11 km away from the city). It is situated on a hill. It is known among tourists for its unique artistic style which blends Hindu and Muslim style of architecture. Tourists can ascend this beautiful fort complex by an exciting elephant ride. Today it is one of the most important tourist attractions in Rajasthan.

Jaigarh Fort: This massive & magnificent fort is situated on the top of a hill on which Amber Fort is located. Both forts (Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort) are connected through well-guarded passages. Many consider the two together as one complex. At Jaigarh Fort tourists can see world’s largest cannon on wheels called the Jaivana.
